Student allegedly assaulted in Hobart, left paralysed and ineligible for ongoing funding to stay in Australia

Last year Dervashi Deka's life took a devastating turn when he was allegedly assaulted on Hobart’s waterfront. He's been left with a severe brain injury and requires round-the-clock care. But once he leaves hospital Dayv won't be eligible for ongoing funding and he can't afford to stay in Australia, forcing his family and friends to appeal for support.
